I am maintaining a database of email addresses, for people who would like assistance in relevant participation. When a bill is having a hearing before a Congressional committee or subcommittee, letters from experts can be entered into the Congressional Record as "on the record" of that hearing for five business days before and after the hearing. The purpose of the hearing is to inform the committee members of the bill’s importance and consequences, thus letters so informing are welcomed into the record. My database of email addresses is to inform people interested in the policy process of relevant crime policy hearings, within the time period when letters are accepted, with summaries of the bills and how to find out more. Anyone interested can write on their own responsibility their views on the proposed legislation. I can further assist, but after the first time it will be easy. This is time efficient and relevant participation. If you would like to be on my Policy Database, just so inform me. The same applies if you want to be taken off.
